TANZANIA IN 5 DAYS: A SAFARI OF LEGENDS
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to your accommodation. Take the rest of the day to relax, recover from your journey, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Planet Lodge in Arusha. Tomorrow, your adventure begins!
Overnight: Planet Lodge – Arusha
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its stunning landscapes dotted with baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Enjoy a full-day game drive as you explore the park’s rich wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and countless bird species.
In the afternoon, head to your lodge nestled in a lush rural setting near the park for a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Today, journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, crossing the Ngorongoro highlands along the way. Enjoy game drives en route, where wildlife sightings begin before you even enter the Serengeti. Once in the park, prepare for breathtaking views and thrilling animal encounters across the endless plains.
Arrive at your camp in the heart of the Serengeti in time to enjoy a magical sunset and dinner under the stars.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy an early morning game drive to catch the animals at their most active. After breakfast, begin your drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the diverse landscapes that make Tanzania so unique. Stop for a picnic lunch and more wildlife viewing along the way.
Arrive in the late afternoon at your tented camp on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Overnight: Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp – Crater Rim
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Departure
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day. Enjoy a half-day game drive in this breathtaking natural amphitheater, home to lions, elephants, hippos, and the rare black rhino.
After lunch, begin your journey back to the airport for your flight, filled with incredible memories of your Tanzanian safari.
ESSENTIAL TANZANIA: FROM KILIMANJARO'S WATERFALLS TO THE GREAT NORTHEN PARKS

Discover the essence of northern Tanzania on this carefully curated journey that takes you from the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro to the legendary plains of the Serengeti and the majestic Ngorongoro Crater. This itinerary blends cultural immersion, scenic beauty, and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
Day 1 – Arrival in Moshi
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Moshi, a charming town nestled at the foot of Africa’s highest peak. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel or take a gentle walk through the nearby streets. Overnight at the peaceful Maridadi Hotel Moshi, where you’ll enjoy your first night in Tanzania.
Day 2 – Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Experience
After breakfast, you'll set off on a scenic drive to Materuni village, home to the Chagga people. Here, a short and refreshing hike through lush banana and avocado farms leads you to the stunning Materuni Waterfall. After soaking in the natural beauty, you’ll enjoy a hands-on coffee-making experience with the local community—learning how to roast, grind, and brew coffee the traditional way. This cultural immersion is both authentic and heartwarming. In the afternoon, return to Moshi for another relaxed evening at Maridadi Hotel.
Day 3 – Scenic Drive around Mount Kilimanjaro
Today is dedicated to exploring the scenic surroundings of Mount Kilimanjaro. You’ll journey through the countryside, passing through traditional villages and enjoying sweeping views of the mountain (weather permitting). It’s a relaxed and flexible day that allows you to absorb the rhythm of local life and appreciate the region’s natural beauty. Return to Maridadi Hotel for a final overnight in Moshi.
Day 4 – Journey to Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, begin your journey toward the safari circuit as you head to Tarangire National Park. Known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a unique introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive where you may spot giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, lions, and more. As the sun sets, arrive at your cozy accommodation, Pamoja Africa Villa, for a restful night.
Day 5 – From Tarangire to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, continue your adventure with a scenic drive through the lush and elevated Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, you'll pass rural landscapes and Masai villages before descending onto the endless plains of the Serengeti. Wildlife begins to appear even before reaching the park gate, setting the tone for the days to come. Arrive at Moyo Tented Camp, where you’ll fall asleep to the distant sounds of the African bush.
Day 6 – Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park
Wake up to the magic of the Serengeti. Today, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive through one of the world’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration or observe predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards in action. With picnic lunch in the bush and endless opportunities for wildlife photography, this is a day to remember. Return to Moyo Tented Camp for a second night under canvas.
Day 7 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
This morning, enjoy one last game drive in the Serengeti as you slowly make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Keep your eyes peeled for any final sightings as you traverse this wildlife-rich corridor. By late afternoon, arrive at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp, nestled near the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll spend the night surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Day 8 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Departure
Your final day begins early with a descent into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, lions, flamingos, and the elusive black rhino. After a thrilling day of wildlife viewing and a picnic lunch inside the crater, begin the drive back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s natural wonders.

Day 1: Arrive Dar Es Salaam International Airport – Transfer to the hotel

Day 2: Fly to Kigoma – road transfer to Kigoma hilltop for Board transfer to Gombe
After breakfast, transfer to Dar airport for your flight to Gombe departing at 10:50hrs and arrive at 13:10hrs. Airport transfer from Kigoma Airport to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel. Dhow boat transfer (approx. 1.5 hours) to the lodge. Staff welcome and introductions followed by lunch. Afternoon/early evening chimpanzee trekking or forest walks (if time allows). Evening sundowners, dinner, and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Boat Transfer Gombe to Kigoma – fly back to Dar es salaam
After breakfast, morning dhow boat transfer (approx. 1.5 hours) to Kigoma. Airport transfer to Kigoma Airport. Depart with flight to Dar departing at 16:10hrs and arrive at 18:30hrs with packed lunch. End of services.

Day 5: Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve (or Nyerere National Park)
Early in the morning we leave for Selous Game Reserve with a lunch box and the journey lasts 6-7 hours. Expect magnificent views long the way and later in the afternoon be treated to a refreshing boat cruise along River Rufiji on arrival at the stunning and extensive Selous Game Reserve.
The adventurous activity comes with sights of Hippos, Nile crocodiles as well as wide range of aquatic bird species. As you make way to the River banks, sights of waterbucks, Cape buffaloes, African bush elephants, Masai giraffes and lions will be relished along the banks.

Day 6: Leave Selous Game Reserve for Mikumi National Park
Pack your bags after breakfast and leave Selous Game Reserve for Mikumi National Park. Before you consider leaving, join an armed Ranger on a guided walking safari that lasts 2-3 hours to spot smaller creatures and hidden habitats that can’t be possibly explored during game drives.
After this activity, just proceed with the journey towards another excellent safari destination in the southern circuit and don’t turn a blind eye to the numerous animals, spectacular Uluguru Mountains, views of the beautiful countryside along the way. Relax for the remainder of the evening to get the body and mind prepared for the next day’s adventure.

Day 7: Explore Mikumi National Park and late proceed back to Dar es salaam
Following breakfast, leave your Safari Camp for an action-packed game viewing experience within Mikumi National Park, another large Protected Area in magical Tanzania.
While this Park doesn’t take the glory like its counterparts in the northern circuit, it is a wonderful place to see African bush elephants, Burchell’s zebras, common elands, greater kudu, Hippos, jackals, Liechtenstein’s hartebeests, leopards, Masai giraffes, impalas, reticulated giraffes, Sable antelopes, lions, spotted hyenas, Yellow baboons, lesser kudu and so much more.
Hot lunch will be served at the Lodge then continue to Dar es salaam for overnight stay

Day 8: Dar es salaam – Dodoma

Day 9: Dodoma – Mto wa Mbu
After breakfast, enjoy the morning exploring Dodoma. You can do city tour, visit Kondoa rock art, Wine tasting and later proceed to Mto wa Mbu for dinner at Heart and Soul.
At around 7:30pm pick up for night game drives at Lake Manyara National Park.
Night Game Drive: Your drive starts around 20:00 from where you head into the thick ground-water forest of Lake Manyara. From the forest you head down towards the lake following the Simba River to the hippo pools. You will return back to the forest and finally be back at the park gate around 22:30.
This night safari will give you an entirely different perspective of the park and wildlife.

Day 10: Mto wa Mbu cultural tour and school visit – Lake Natron
After breakfast, Step inside the homes and workshops of Mto wa Mbu’s diverse tribes, offering a fascinating glimpse into their lives and exquisite craftsmanship. As you visit, you’ll have the privilege of meeting and engaging with the locals, delving into their customs and traditions.
Discover the art of crafting banana beer, explore the intricate world of Makonde woodcarvings, and learn the intricate tribal painting techniques that have been passed down through generations. This village visit provides an enriching introduction to the daily life and cultural tapestry of Africa, granting visitors a deeper understanding of the vibrant and diverse communities in Mto wa Mbu.
Later proceed to Lake Natron. In the afternoon, excursion on foot along the Engare Sero stream that flows into a narrow rocky gorge until reaching a waterfall where it is possible to swim.
Natron is a usual nesting area for millions of pink flamingos that, especially during the dry season (June-October), crowd its banks. The area, extremely arid, is dominated by the perfect cone of the Oldoinyo Leng'ai, the volcano sacred to the Maasai people, its altitude touches 3000 meters, the Oldoinyo Leng'ai is the only volcano in the world to emit lava natro-carbonatitica, rich in sodium carbonate, with very low viscosity and temperature, given that it flows between 500 and 590 ° C.

Day 11: Lake Natron
Breakfast at the camp, Departure in the morning to reach the shores of the lake, if the weather conditions permit it will be possible to wait for the dawn on the shores, and admire the colonies of flamingos; visit to the fossilized footprints of Engare Sero brought to light in 2008 visit and to a Masai village. Return to the lodge / tented camp.
